Length of Review: 1:35
PRO’s opinion: At the moment the ball was crossed, Dreyer (SD) was in an offside position. The referee was correct to disallow the goal for the offside offense after video review.
ATX vs LAFC: Penalty kick
Outcome: After review, Los Angeles #5 [Ryan Porteous] fouled Austin #29 [Guilherme Biro] inside the penalty area.
The final decision was a penalty [to Austin FC] and a yellow card for a reckless challenge to Los Angeles #5.
Length of Review: 2:20
PRO’s opinion: As Porteous (LAFC) jumped to challenge for the ball with Biro (ATX), he swung his arm back and struck the attacker in the face. The referee was unable to see this contact and allowed play to continue. The VAR analyzed the available angles and determined that there was a striking offense. The referee was correct to award a penalty kick and issue a yellow card for a reckless challenge after video review.
