Matchday 22 overview
There were two Video Reviews during Matchday 22.
STL vs HOU: No goal (offside)
Outcome: After review, Houston #19 [Mateusz Bogusz] was in an offside position when the ball was passed to him by Houston #8 [Jack McGlynn]. Houston #19 then interfered with play when he touched the ball prior to scoring a goal.
The final decision was offside and an indirect free kick [to St Louis CITY].
Length of Review: 3:05
PRO’s opinion: At the moment the ball was played to Bogusz (HOU) by McGlynn (HOU), he was in an offside position. The referee was correct to disallow the goal for the offside offense after video review.
VAN vs DAL: No penalty
Outcome: After review, Vancouver #14 [Bruno Caicedo] did not foul Dallas #55 [Kaick] inside the penalty area.
The final decision was no penalty.
Length of Review: 3:33
PRO’s opinion: While Caicedo (VAN) made contact on Kaick’s (DAL) right leg, it did not appear to move his leg, and he was able to take two steps after the contact before he went down. The amount of contact is subjective, and the referee determined that it was not impactful and maintained his original decision.
