Matchday 21 overview
There were four Video Reviews during Matchday 21.

CIN vs NYC: Yellow card (Unsporting behavior)

Outcome: After review, Cincinnati #21 [Matt Miazga] did not commit a violent conduct offense on New York City #20 [Luighi].

The final decision was a yellow card to Cincinnati #21 for unsporting behavior.

Length of Review: 2:47

PRO’s opinion: After the pushing offense by Miazga (CIN), the defender attempted to play the ball as the referee simultaneously blew his whistle, and he kicked Luighi’s legs. This was a genuine attempt to play the ball and did rise to the level of violent conduct. The referee issued a yellow card for a lack of respect for the game.

PHI vs MIA: No goal (offside)

Outcome: After review, Philadelphia #44 [Neil Pierre] was in an offside position when the free kick was taken by Philadelphia #27 [Kai Wagner]. Philadelphia #44 then interfered with play when he headed the ball prior to Philadelphia #10 [Milan Iloski] scoring a goal.

The final decision was offside and an indirect free kick [to Inter Miami].

Length of Review: 2:05

PRO’s opinion: At the moment the free kick was taken, Pierre (PHI) was in an offside position. The referee was correct to disallow the goal for the offside offense after video review.

SKC vs STL: Goal

Outcome: After review, no offside offense was committed by Kansas City #11 [Calvin Harris] prior to scoring a goal.

The final decision was a goal [to Sporting Kansas City].

Length of Review: 1:59

PRO’s opinion: At the moment the ball was played to Harris (SKC) by Taylor Calheira (SKC), he was in an onside position. The referee was correct to award the goal after video review.

VAN vs HOU: No goal (foul)

Outcome: After review, Vancouver #20 [Andres Cubas] and Vancouver #8 [Oliver Larraz] fouled Houston #16 [Héctor Herrera] in the buildup to Vancouver #19 [Rayan Elloumi] scoring a goal.

The final decision was no goal and a direct free kick [to Houston Dynamo].

Length of Review: 1:49

PRO’s opinion: Before Elloumi’s (VAN) goal, Cubas (VAN) kicked Herrera’s (HOU) foot without playing the ball, and Larraz (VAN) also made contact with Herrera’s legs, to gain possession. The referee was correct to disallow the goal for a foul in the attacking possession phase after video review.
