There were two Video Reviews during Matchday 19.
DC vs NSH: Goal
Outcome: After review, no offside offense was committed by D.C. #11 [Louis Munteanu] before D.C. #5 [Silvan Hefti] scored a goal.
The final decision was a goal [to D.C. United].
Length of Review: 4:46
PRO’s opinion: While Andy Nájar (NSH) headed the ball on from the corner kick, the referee determined that Munteanu (DC) had also touched the ball. When the VAR analyzed the angles, it was clear that the ball came from Nájar’s head, but it was not clear if the ball also touched Munteanu or not. As a result, there is no clear evidence that the on-field decision was wrong and a review should not have been recommended.
MIA vs CLB: Goal
Outcome: After review, no offside offense was committed by Miami #9 [Luis Suárez] prior to Miami #32 [Noah Allen] scoring a goal.
The final decision was a goal [to Inter Miami].
Length of Review: 2:00
PRO’s opinion: At the moment the ball was played to Suárez (MIA), he was in an onside position. The referee was correct to award the goal after video review.
