Calin Radosav and Christian Clerc recognized as the top PRO2 officials in USL this season
Calin Radosav has been named the USL Referee of the Year, with Christian Clerc claiming the honor of the USL Assistant Referee of the Year.
The duo were regulars in USL Championship this year, with Radosav taking charge of 13 games and Clerc working 16. Both finished their respective seasons in playoff games involving finalists, Phoenix Rising, with Radosav the referee for Rising’s Western Conference semifinal win over Orange County and Clerc AR2 for the Western Conference final.
Alex Prus, Director of PRO2 Match Officials, said: “On behalf of PRO, I congratulate both Calin and Christian on a successful season. As with all the nominees, they have consistently delivered strong performances that set the standard for our aspiring officials to emulate and improve on in 2024.
“We have an ambitious group who are focused on developing the skills necessary to be a top match official and meeting the challenges officiating in the USL Championship presents. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in preseason after a well-earned break, ready to work hard and take the next steps along PRO’s pathway towards their goals.”
