Five officials from the Professional Referee Organization are currently representing the United States and Canada at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Mark Geiger and Jair Marrufo have been named as center referees, making the United States the only nation to have two people in the role from a total of 36 officials.
Joe Fletcher, Frank Anderson and Corey Rockwell have also been selected as assistant referees.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup is the first edition in the tournament’s history to feature the use of Video Review, technology that PRO have implemented in the MLS since week 22 of the 2017 season.
