Mark Geiger and Alan Black to speak at United Soccer Coaches Convention
PRO’s Director of Senior Match Officials, Mark Geiger, and the Head of Technical Programs and New Talent, Alan Black, will be in Philadelphia next week to speak at the Referee Experience, which forms part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention from January 11 to 15.
This is the second annual Referee Experience and will be staged on Friday and Saturday of convention week. Last year, it was attended by more than 200 referees in Kansas City, and the program will again focus on critical topics impacting all aspects of the soccer officiating industry.
Black will be addressing ‘The Role of the Assessor in Refereeing’ in the morning of Friday, January 13, before Geiger presents on ‘VAR in MLS/NWSL’ that afternoon. On Saturday afternoon, Black returns to the stage to discuss ‘Talent ID of Officials’.
Soccer officiating leaders from all levels of competition will be on hand. Representatives from FIFA, CONCACAF, US Soccer, PRO, NCAA, NISOA, US Youth Soccer, State Associations, college conferences, rules-making bodies, local officials’ associations, and leagues will be in attendance.
