Crew announced for USL League One Final
Kevin Broadley has been assigned as the referee for the USL League One Final between Union Omaha and Greenville Triumph on Saturday, November 20 (5PM ET) at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska.
Broadley most recently took charge of the clash between Chicago Red Stars and NJ/NY Gotham FC in the 2021 NWSL Playoffs Quarterfinals. He has been busy working in the center of USL Championship games and as a fourth official in Major League Soccer this year.
Having run the line during the inaugural NWSL Challenge Cup Final in 2020, FIFA assistant referee Jennifer Garner will add another showpiece game to her collection this weekend. Art Arustamyan, who officiated in the 2020 USL Championship Conference Semifinals, will be on the opposite touchline.
Joshua Encarnacion has already featured in this year’s USL League One postseason having taken charge of the quarterfinal between Chattanooga Red Wolves and North Texas SC, and he has been assigned as the fourth official for the final.
Regular-season winners Union Omaha secured its place in the final with a 6-1 victory against FC Tucson, while Greenville Triumph needed extra time to see off the Red Wolves. Both finalists have now reached this stage in consecutive seasons, but multiple COVID-19 cases in the Union Omaha camp forced last year’s game to be canceled and the title was awarded to the Triumph based on points per game in the regular season.
