Howard Webb, PRO’s Manager of VAR Operations, recently conducted a Video Review Media Seminar which was streamed live on mlssoccer.com and the MLS YouTube channel. You can still watch the video below.

On Thursday July 20, Major League Soccer confirmed that Video Assistant Referees will officially be implemented in league competition, beginning over the weekend of August 5-6.

All matches from Week 22 onwards, including the MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup, will feature video review going forward.

PRO and MLS have been working closely with the International Football Association Board (IFAB) for more than three years to develop procedures and technology, and the IFAB will study live implementation in MLS and other leagues prior to making a final decision on incorporating it into the Laws Of The Game.
