Mark Allatin and Kali Smith claim top USL refereeing accolades
Mark Allatin has been named as the USL Referee of the Year, with Kali Smith winning the USL Assistant Referee of the Year award. They were both regulars in USL Championship this year, taking charge of 13 games each.
Alex Prus, Director of PRO2 Match Officials, said: “I would like to congratulate all the nominees on being commended for delivering a high standard throughout the season, with Mark and Kali setting a high benchmark, which USL has recognized with these awards.
“The quality of our officials in the PRO2 group is getting stronger and that can be seen by the number of promotions into our senior group, creating new opportunities for officials coming through to step up. That competition and desire for consistency continues to bring the best out of our talent pool.”
