FITNESS REQUIREMENTS: PRO announces fitness requirements for 2015
Whilst in Pasadena, PRO staff will take part in various sessions covering different topics, including a review of 2014 and a look ahead to 2015.
Sports Scientist Matt Hawkey will put the officials through their paces in a series of fitness tests, and also discuss nutritional preparation with Sports Nutritionist Gena Wollenberg.
A number of guest attendees will also be present to talk about various aspects of the game, from match-fixing to effectively dealing with dissent.
PRO’s Referee Manager Michael Kennedy told proreferees.com: “As the 2015 season fast approaches it brings the addition of new teams and clubs making changes to strengthen their respective squads.
“We at PRO must also continue to push forward to advance the skill levels of our officials, concentrating on the areas of decision-making, fitness and teamwork.”
