New website launches

Welcome to the official website of the Professional Referee Organization.

Here, you can familiarize yourself with the new organization set up to oversee officiating in North America. The website will include the latest news and assignments, as well as exclusive features to give you inside knowledge of PRO development.

The 2012 season is about to come to an exciting end, with Major League Soccer Play-Offs just around the corner and the home and home final between the Minnesota Stars and the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the North American Soccer League. But things are just beginning for us at PRO. The aim of the organization is to increase the quality of officiating in the United States and Canadian professional leagues.

Starting during the preseason, you’ll find in-depth interviews and interesting blogs from the country’s best soccer officials, as well as all the new-to-know refereeing statistics.

The site will also provide a platform for developing referees, giving them advice on officiating through a wealth of learning materials which will allow them to hone their skills.

Informative resources along with news on the development processes are easily accessible on the site and are partnered with the latest match official coaching tips and fitness plans.

With soccer advancing behind the scenes and sports science becoming paramount in official’s development, we have included a Sports Science section which provides information to ensure all referees, from the MLS to the local fields, are in the best condition to perform at their optimum level.
